A Father's Day Card
I made a Father's Day card this year for my dad.
You can learn how I made those shiny copper stripes by visiting The Crafty Power Blog, where you will find this card and a video tutorial. Click HERE to check it out.
I have the most wonderful Dad....
....who is also the best grandfather ever.
He was always playful...
...telling jokes...
...gentle and generous.
Now at the age of 88, he suffers from the late stages of Alzheimers.
He has forgotten almost everything, but I refuse to forget the happy memories he has given us.
Happy Father's Day, Dad. I love you.
(((HUGS))) Kelly. This is such a beautiful tribute, I'm seriously tearing up. Thank you for sharing something so beautiful and special.
ReplyDeleteI'm off to see how you made those copper strips :)
Kelly, once again my friend you have touched us all with your amazing story telling and heartfelt sharing. May the memories of all the happy times provide you with the warm embrace that your dad is no longer able to give.
ReplyDeleteBless you, for being able to walk alongside your Dad, to comfort him and love him through this very difficult disease. And now I need to search for a tissue.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful layout and such a tribute to your father. I am so sorry to hear that he is not well, life can be so cruel at times. I lost my Dad when he was only 55 but I still have so many fond memories to hold close to my heart. I just stopped in to tell you I had a blast at the class last night and it was a honor to meet you. Take care and have a great weekend.
